Dr. Silverstein is a board-certified Ob-Gyn in private practice in Manhattan since 1996. Her particular areas of interest include general, gynecologic care of adolescents and young adults, contraception and family planning as well as preconceptual counseling and obstetrics. She is a follow of the American Collage of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Dr. Silverstein is a Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a Voluntary Attending at the Mount Sinai Hospital. She serves on the Quality Assurance Committee in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.
Dr. Silverstein graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received her Medical Degree from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in 1996.
Dr. Silverstein lives in New York with her husband, Dr. Richard Furman and their two children. Her husband is a hematologist/oncologist who specializes in Lymphoma at New York Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Outside of medicine, Dr. Silverstein enjoys running and fitness. She is an avid New York Rangers and New York Mets fan.
